With Rhino's streamlined security deposit services, our tenants now have the option to either pay a traditional cash security deposit up-front and in full, or sign up for a security deposit insurance policy (SDI) through Rhino in lieu of paying a traditional deposit. What is Rhino?
Rhino replaces your cash security deposit with smart, affordable security deposit insurance. Rhino's insurance works like a security deposit, but at a fraction of the cost. Free up money at move-in and spend your cash on the things that are important to you.
What is security deposit insurance?
Just like a cash security deposit, security deposit insurance (SDI) protects the property you are renting during your lease terms. However, instead of having to pay a lump sum at move-in, you pay much less for an insurance policy. It's not a deposit payment plan. You're paying less upfront to satisfy your property's security deposit requirement.
What does Rhino cover?
Unlike renters insurance, which protects your belongings, Rhino insures your home for the property owner against unpaid rent and excessive damages, just like a cash security deposit. But instead of paying for that protection upfront at move-in, you pay for a low-cost insurance policy and save on your move.

- After rental approval, you will receive an email from Rhino. Follow the link in the Rhino email invitation & answer a few questions to see if you qualify for Rhino's SDI services.
- Complete your enrollment & purchase a Rhino policy.
- You're ready to move in!
Not interested in SDI coverage?
Don't qualify for Rhino's SDI program?
No problem! You can always choose to opt out of Rhino's SDI services and pay a traditional security deposit to Rhino instead. Rhino is a full service security deposit program contracted by Palm Island Realty Property Management to manage our security deposit requirements, and they are here to help you facilitate all of your security deposit needs. Paying a security deposit has never been easier with Rhino!
